Role Overview
We seek a Fragrance Developer specializing in Personal Care to support our Southeast Asia operations. This position offers excellent professional development in a diverse, inclusive work environment. The precise level—Evaluator, Senior Evaluator, or Creative Fragrance Manager—depends on candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fragrance strategies and creative processes aligned with company objectives.
- Provide olfactive leadership and strategic guidance for client projects and proactive category initiatives.
- Handle multiple complex briefs, selecting and creating fragrances that meet project goals.
- Convert Consumer Market Insight data into practical olfactory guidelines for Perfumers.
- Collaborate with Technology, Creation, and Application Labs on fragrance stability and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with regional creative centers to complete global projects.
- Lead and support cross-regional project teams when necessary.
- Work closely with commercial teams to ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Monitor market trends and identify new olfactive niches in partnership with Marketing.
- Analyze olfactory profiles of new product launches to inform future development.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 10 years of fragrance evaluation experience, preferably across diverse categories and geographies with emphasis on Personal Care products such as shower gels, bar soaps, or hair care.
- Deep olfactory knowledge combined with practical expertise in fragrance development processes.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing time effectively while working independently.
- Experience managing complex projects and collaborating with global or regional accounts.
- Technical understanding of fragrance behavior in Personal Care applications, including stability, base interactions, and regulatory compliance.
- Innovative, proactive approach with aptitude to anticipate evolving market preferences.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities to engage varied stakeholders.
- Proven skill in translating consumer insights into fragrance development strategies.
- Cultural awareness and proficiency in working within multicultural, cross-functional teams.
