We offer competitive compensation up to $20 per hour for the Shift Manager position at a McDonald's franchise located in Melville, NY. Please note, this role is within a restaurant independently owned and run by a franchisee; McDonald's USA is not the employer and has no influence over employment decisions or processes.

Job Overview

The Shift Manager plays a crucial leadership role, overseeing shifts to ensure customers receive fast, accurate, and friendly service consistently. This position involves guiding crew members and other managers to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

Key Duties

• Developing plans for each shift to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitoring and enhancing team performance throughout the shift.
• Ensuring safety, security, and profitability standards are upheld.
• Communicating effectively with subsequent Shift Managers for seamless shift handovers.
• Meeting or exceeding departmental goals and shift targets.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining food safety compliance.
• Facilitating internal communication among staff.
• Overseeing inventory and stock management.
• Ensuring daily maintenance and cleanliness standards.
• Managing and motivating crew members.
• Producing quality food consistently.
• Delivering exceptional customer service.
• Maintaining safety and security protocols.
• Scheduling staff shifts efficiently.
• Training team members to foster growth and performance.

Requirements

• Preferably previous leadership experience, especially in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings.
• A positive attitude, flexibility in scheduling, and ability to perform well under fast-paced conditions.
• Must be at least 18 years old to serve as a manager in corporate-owned restaurants.
