Shift Manager

Overview

This role is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, not directly employed by McDonald’s USA. The franchisee manages all employment responsibilities including hiring, firing, supervision, and staffing decisions. McDonald’s USA does not intervene in hiring or employment decisions.

Job Summary

As a Shift Manager, you will lead shifts weekly, ensuring customers receive fast, friendly, and accurate service. You will supervise crew and other managers during your shift to maintain excellent quality, service, and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily shift operations
• Monitor team performance and take actions to meet McDonald’s standards
• Ensure safety, security, and profitability throughout the shift
• Communicate shift details to succeeding Shift Managers for smooth transitions
• Support departments in achieving their goals
• Maintain high food safety standards
• Manage internal communication and inventory
• Oversee daily maintenance and cleanliness
• Lead crew management and scheduling
• Conduct training and development
• Ensure quality food production and exceptional customer service

Candidate Requirements

• Preferred prior leadership experience, particularly in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be 18 years or older for corporate-owned restaurant management roles
