Key Responsibilities
- Analyze construction drawings to perform detailed take-offs for mechanical sheet metal projects.
- Calculate labor and material costs accurately to ensure competitive and precise project estimates.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of suppliers and continually assess materials and goods pricing against industry benchmarks.
- Identify optimum costs and pricing strategies by evaluating proposal specifications and defining project scopes carefully.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all estimate documents submitted.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Estimating or HVAC Systems along with a Skilled Trade Certificate.
- Bring a minimum of five years’ experience in estimating mechanical sheet metal initiatives.
- Demonstrate advanced competencies in reading blueprints, interpreting sheet metal designs, and understanding relevant industry materials and pricing.
- Exhibit strong organizational abilities and effective time management skills.
- Be proficient in MS Office, Autobid SM, Procore, with additional knowledge of CamDuct or Est/MEP considered an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $95,000, contingent on qualifications and experience. Beyond base salary, the total compensation package includes benefits like group insurance, pension plans, discretionary bonuses, career development opportunities, and other HR initiatives.
