Position Overview

Reporting to the Sewing Supervisor, the Sewing Machine Operator is essential to manufacturing outerwear that meets Canada Goose's renowned quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the production team to complete garments.
• Sew garment components such as pockets, flaps, zippers, hoods, sleeves, and attach lining to shells as per specifications.
• Inspect garment parts before sewing to confirm quality compliance.
• Maintain sewing precision meeting Canada Goose’s standards for measurements and appearance.
• Meet or exceed daily individual productivity targets while upholding quality.
• Acquire new sewing techniques to support achieving 100% or higher efficiency goals.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, regulations, and code of conduct.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• 2 to 3 years of sewing experience, ideally in apparel manufacturing.
• Proficient with single needle, double needle, and seam serger machines.
• Experience with specialty sewing machines is a strong advantage.
• Capable of assembling garment sections into finished products.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Possesses arm-hand steadiness to run fabric steadily through machines.
• Manual dexterity to quickly and accurately manipulate fabric.
• Precision in operating foot controls for consistent machine adjustments.
