Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Laser Machine Operator to manage CNC fiber laser cutting machines in line with the production requirements at our facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC fiber laser cutting equipment following the production schedule.
- Properly load and unload raw sheet metal materials.
- Interpret and utilize technical drawings and cutting programs effectively.
- Set up machines, adjust parameters, and perform basic troubleshooting tasks.
- Ensure that the cutting output adheres to quality standards concerning dimensions and edge finish.
- Reduce material wastage by optimizing the use of sheet metal.
- Conduct regular cleaning and basic maintenance of machines.
- Adhere strictly to safety practices and maintain workplace cleanliness.
- Promptly report any machine malfunctions or breakdowns.
Required Competencies
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques.
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming concepts.
- High attention to detail to ensure product quality.
Professional Skills
- Proficient in using measurement instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and protractors.
- Skilled in handling manual tools including hand drills, spanners, and screwdrivers.
- Motivated to learn and continuously improve technical skills.
Experience and Qualifications
- Between 2 to 5 years of experience operating CNC laser cutting machines.
- Prior experience specifically with fiber laser machines is mandatory.
- Technical diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
