Job description
About the Role
Join an innovative quantum technology firm based in Oxfordshire as one of the pioneering UVM Verification Engineers on their expanding team. This role offers significant independence, allowing you to take full ownership of the verification environment while shaping methodology, infrastructure, and best practices used by the team.
The company specializes in cutting-edge quantum computing systems, combining a fast-paced startup atmosphere with the support and resources of a global enterprise. You will be working at the interface of FPGA development and quantum technologies to develop and verify complex control systems essential for next-generation quantum computing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain advanced UVM/SystemVerilog verification environments for intricate FPGA designs.
- Create and implement detailed verification plans.
- Develop constrained-random test environments and actively work towards functional and code coverage closure.
- Collaborate closely with RTL Design Engineers to diagnose and resolve failures, enhancing overall design quality.
- Build and sustain automated regression testing environments.
- Support continuous integration and verification processes throughout the FPGA development lifecycle.
- Lead the establishment and promotion of verification methodologies and best practices across the FPGA team.
Candidate Profile
- Approximately 4 to 7 years of professional FPGA or ASIC verification experience.
- Proficient in modern verification methodologies, including SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Expertise in architecting verification environments.
- Experience in constrained-random and coverage-driven verification techniques.
- Skillful in verification planning and requirements analysis.
- Proficient in Python scripting for automation and testing purposes.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience collaborating effectively with RTL and FPGA design teams.
This position is ideal for verification engineers eager to assume greater ownership and influence in defining verification strategies and frameworks rather than following pre-established procedures. It also provides the unique chance to apply your skills to complex FPGA designs within the rapidly evolving quantum technology sector.
Additional Information
The company offers a competitive salary package, including base pay, restricted stock units (RSUs), and performance bonuses. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are available for candidates currently working in the UK who need to move to Oxford. However, sponsorship and support are not available for applicants residing outside the UK at this time.
