Senior Test Engineer – Singapore

Overview

Best NanoTech is looking for a Senior Test Engineer located in Singapore to work on-site. The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor automated test equipment (ATE) development, characterization, debugging, and production testing.

Role Description

The role focuses on creating and refining test programs for wafer sort and final test stages, supporting new product launches, enhancing yield and efficiency, and troubleshooting product or test challenges. Experienced familiarity with platforms such as Advantest V93K, Teradyne UltraFLEX, or J750 is required, along with a solid understanding of semiconductor device testing and complete production testing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, characterize, and maintain ATE test programs for semiconductor devices.
• Support wafer sort (circuit probe) and final test activities.
• Create test methodologies and integrate test flows for upcoming semiconductor products.
• Conduct test program correlation, characterization, and validation prior to production release.
• Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) from the engineering development phase through production ramp-up.
• Analyze test data to identify yield loss, test escapes, and device performance issues.
• Perform yield analysis, test limit tuning, and guard-band analyses.
• Troubleshoot device, test program, hardware, and production test concerns.
• Enhance test programs to optimize time, coverage, yield, and manufacturing effectiveness.
• Collaborate with product engineering, design, validation, quality, and manufacturing teams regarding product and test issues.
• Provide support for qualification, production release, engineering change management, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive test documentation, characterization reports, and engineering analyses.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, or related fields.
• Between 3 and 7 years of experience in Semiconductor Test Engineering or ATE Test Development.
• Hands-on experience with at least one prominent semiconductor ATE platform (e.g., Advantest V93K, Teradyne UltraFLEX, J750).
• Practical knowledge of wafer sort, circuit probe, and/or final testing processes.
• Proven ability in test program development, debugging, and characterization.
• Strong grasp of semiconductor device testing and production test methodologies.
• Experience performing test data analysis, yield improvement, and production support.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with ATE platforms such as Advantest V93K, Teradyne UltraFLEX, Teradyne J750, or equivalent systems.
• Comprehensive skills in test development including program creation, debugging, characterization, methodology, flow development, correlation, and production release.
• Expertise in semiconductor test processes including wafer sort, circuit probe, final test, DC parametric testing, functional testing, and a range of device testing types (digital, mixed-signal, analog).
• Capabilities in new product introduction (NPI), silicon characterization, yield and test time optimization, failure analysis, and production ramp support.
• Programming and data analysis using C/C++, Python or similar scripting languages, and statistical test data interpretation relevant to semiconductor testing.
