Senior Technician - GRMS

Scheduled to open in the UAE in 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island is being developed as a luxurious and entertaining beachside resort for distinguished guests. Situated less than 50 miles from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort will boast 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 dining options, a theater, nightclub, and a five-star spa, located on a scenic island that curves into the Arabian Gulf.

Role Overview

The resort is currently recruiting a Senior Technician specializing in Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS) to join the AV and Entertainment Technical Services team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and maintain GRMS components such as control panels, sensors, switches, and networked devices.
• Oversee system performance and promptly address alerts or issues reported by guests.
• Support the integration of GRMS with audiovisual systems, including lighting, audio, video, and environmental controls.
• Assist with programming and customizing GRMS interfaces to ensure alignment with brand standards and guest preferences.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on GRMS and AV systems.
• Identify and rectify hardware or software faults in GRMS networks and control systems.
• Keep accurate records of service logs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with IT and Facilities departments regarding network and power dependencies.
• Ensure all GRMS installations conform to UAE electrical safety regulations and Wynn safety protocols.
• Work in coordination with AV, engineering, and housekeeping teams for readiness during VIP events and special occasions.
• Provide technical assistance during room mock-ups, system updates, and seasonal programming changes.
• Help test and implement new GRMS features or guest-interfacing technologies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, AV Technology, or a related discipline.
• Between 2 and 4 years of experience working with GRMS or AV systems in hospitality or entertainment settings.
• Preferred experience with control systems such as Crestron, QLab, Navigator CSC, or equivalents.
• Strong knowledge of GRMS system architecture and audiovisual integration.
• Familiarity with protocols including DMX, DALI, and Art-Net/sACN.
• Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting control systems and networked devices.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
• Professional attitude and dedication to guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
