About the Role
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join their Dublin Office Agency team. This role is highly client-oriented and involves close collaboration in a dynamic advisory setting. The position entails assisting senior leaders with major development and leasing projects, independently managing smaller client assignments, and contributing to team operations and mentoring junior staff. Senior Surveyors represent the firm's values and brand, delivering expert advice while actively supporting fee growth, billing, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert professional advice and exceptional service to office leasing clients.
- Assist Directors and Associate Directors with significant development projects, presentations, and transactions.
- Serve as the main client liaison for managed projects by offering updates, recommendations, and solutions.
- Manage smaller projects with increasing independence and responsibility.
- Prepare and assist with client presentations, proposals, and pitches.
- Identify technical challenges in transactions and suggest suitable solutions.
- Proactively pursue new business and revenue-generating opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients.
- Contribute towards meeting team targets for fees, billing, and profitability.
- Achieve personal billing goals aligned with the role expectations.
- Oversee billing, budgeting, and cost management for assigned client instructions.
- Recognise cross-selling possibilities and support services offered by the wider firm.
- Utilize company systems to support pricing, billing, cash flow, and profitability management.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures, professional standards, health and safety, and risk management policies.
- Keep up to date with legislation, case law, and market trends.
- Display competent technical expertise and strong market knowledge.
- Act as a business enabler, trusted advisor, and leadership figure within the team.
- Coach and mentor graduate and early-career surveyors.
- Share industry knowledge, provide constructive feedback, and help improve team performance.
- Engage in continuous personal development, including mentoring and continuing professional development (CPD).
- Support and embrace ongoing changes and improvement initiatives.
Education & Qualifications
- Preferably over two years of post-qualification experience.
- Background in general surveying practice, ideally client-facing or transactional roles.
- Experience within large firms or corporate environments considered an advantage.
- Understanding of business development and managing client relationships.
- Experience with financial matters, including billing and budgeting.
- Familiarity with the Irish commercial real estate market and relevant laws.
- Must be SCSI qualified or in the process of qualifying.
Skills & Personal Attributes
- Commercially minded, well-organized, and client-centric approach.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong report writing skills with proficient English language command, both written and verbal.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and capable of greater autonomy.
- Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office and specialized industry software.
