Role Overview

Join the City of Newcastle as a Senior Strategic Planner focusing on affordable housing. This permanent full-time position involves working a 35-hour week with flexible arrangements, where you'll contribute to shaping Newcastle's future into a more liveable and inclusive community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Strategic Planner specializing in affordable housing, you will develop and implement urban planning strategies, policies, and reports related to affordable housing and infrastructure contributions. You will manage complex projects from inception through execution, coordinate resources, engage consultants, and lead community and stakeholder consultation efforts. Additionally, providing expert advice, mentoring colleagues, and promoting high-quality planning outcomes across the organization will be part of your duties.
