The Senior Software Engineer will join a small, impactful product and technology team that moves swiftly, embraces calculated risks, and strives to release meaningful improvements for customers. This role centers on a strategically important Financial Statements product that simplifies and enhances the ease of financial reporting for clients through innovations such as account mapping, Excel workflows, AI-assisted setup, and board-level reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance features across the complete technology stack, including front-end, back-end, and data layers.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their challenges and incorporate their feedback into product development.
• Contribute to shaping the architectural and engineering direction of the product.
• Lead by example through delivering high-quality work and thoughtful problem-solving approaches.
• Deploy improvements rapidly and iteratively enhance them.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive full-stack experience with strong proficiency in React for front-end and Java or C# for back-end development.
• Familiarity and comfort working with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Demonstrated use of AI to improve team productivity by introducing tools and evolving workflows collaboratively.
• A customer-oriented approach, showing curiosity about end-users and a willingness to interact with customers directly.
• Experience thriving in a small team environment where individual contribution and visibility are significant.
• A background or strong interest in financial software is considered a valuable asset.
• A results-driven mindset focused on shipping valuable features quickly and accepting calculated risks to achieve impact.
