Job Description and Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of defined project areas from conception to deployment, working largely independently and collaborating closely with another developer.
• Rapidly design and develop proof of concepts to evaluate technical feasibility and reduce risks before full implementation.
• Maintain and improve the core backend applications, optimizing for performance and scalability.
• Contribute to high-level architectural decisions ensuring system security, availability, and scalability.
• Acquire and apply in-depth knowledge of the legal and procedural aspects of In-Court and After-Court debt collection processes, which is central to the role.
• Partner closely with the product team to influence the roadmap and drive company growth.
• Utilize and adapt AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code during coding, reviewing, and deployment phases.
• Support the evolution and enhancement of the AI-powered platform.
• Stay informed of industry trends and proactively share innovative ideas with the team.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 1 year on medium to large-scale projects.
• Expertise in backend development using Ruby on Rails, which forms the company's primary technology stack.
• A flexible approach to programming languages, with hands-on experience in Go and/or Python considered an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to independently scope, manage, and deliver projects with limited supervision.
• Strong familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Proven history of creating clean, maintainable backend code and reliable infrastructure.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Enthusiasm for working with and developing AI-focused technologies.
• Proficiency in English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the financial or accounting sectors.
• Frontend development knowledge, particularly with Vue.js and GraphQL.
• Infrastructure experience involving AWS, Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), Docker, and Linux.
• Additional backend technology skills such as Node.js, Rust, or Java.

• Competitive salary range between €77,000 and €92,000 gross annually, reflecting experience and qualifications based on a 40-hour workweek.
