Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure software systems that underpin the company's financial technology solutions. This includes digital payment systems, real-time transaction platforms, and innovative digital currency projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend systems, APIs, and integrations with a focus on security and performance optimization.
• Contribute to microservices architecture and distributed system design.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as architecture, product management, DevOps, security, data, QA, compliance, and infrastructure to ensure delivery of compliant and reliable digital financial solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of software designs and implementations.
• Resolve production issues and continuously improve system scalability and reliability.

Candidate Profile

• Possess between 5 and 7 years of solid experience in backend software engineering, platform development, or related roles.
• Background in fintech, banking, payments, digital financial services, or similarly regulated technology sectors preferred.
• Expertise in designing enterprise-level applications, API development, and working with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with real-time transaction processing, digital wallets, payment systems, standards like ISO 20022 and SWIFT, as well as AML/CFT regulations.
• Experience or knowledge of blockchain technology, distributed ledger technology (DLT), or digital currency platforms is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with a sense of ownership and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Arabic is an added benefit.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and engage effectively with various stakeholders.
