What You Will Build

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect and scale the Base360.ai platform that drives all facets of short-term rental management. Your responsibility spans developing customer-facing applications, automation engines, AI-based workflows, integrations, and operational systems to enable property managers to grow efficiently without proportionally increasing workload.

Your contributions will cover the entire rental cycle, including listing distribution, pricing, bookings, guest experiences, property operations, and financial reporting.

Your Mission

• Design and implement scalable applications, APIs, and services managing reservations, availability, pricing, payments, guest interactions, and property operations.
• Develop event-driven automation workflows to eliminate repetitive tasks such as scheduling cleanings post-booking, distributing check-in instructions, and generating owner statements.
• Leverage large language models (LLMs) and AI agents to automate guest communication, prioritize maintenance requests, support dynamic pricing, and assist portfolio management.
• Build and maintain a robust API-first architecture connecting internal services, booking channels, third-party providers, and customer systems.
• Create and sustain integrations with key platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, and others in the short-term rental ecosystem.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native infrastructure with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and scalability across multiple property management businesses.
• Engineer solutions to complex operational challenges such as real-time reservation synchronization, dynamic pricing intelligence, smart lock management, automated guest communication, operational forecasting, cleaning and maintenance automation, owner reporting, financial workflows, and AI-driven monitoring and alerts.
• Take ownership of projects end-to-end—from problem understanding, architecture, implementation, deployment to continuous enhancement.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience developing and maintaining production-grade software systems.
• Proficiency with FastAPI, Python, React, or equivalent frameworks.
• Strong command of APIs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure architecture.
• Experience designing scalable backends and robust data models.
• Ability to work autonomously, make sound technical decisions, and prioritize delivery with maintainability.
• A product-focused mindset combined with excellent problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated bias towards action, iterative shipping, and learning from user feedback.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Background in short-term rentals, hospitality technology, or property management systems.
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with marketplace business models and booking channel integrations.
• Working with AI agents, workflow automation, event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Supabase and AWS serverless infrastructure.
