Role Overview

As a Lead/Staff Full-Stack Engineer, you will set the technical vision across both frontend and backend domains of a crucial platform component. You will take ownership of various services and their corresponding UI interfaces, steer architecture decisions that encompass the entire stack, mentor engineers across teams, and foster engineering excellence, acting as a multiplier of technical capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define the architecture for vital platform areas covering API/service design and frontend architecture.
• Lead significant technical decisions regarding framework selection, data modeling, deployment strategies, and design system direction.
• Mentor senior developers in frontend and backend disciplines, elevating the engineering standards across several teams.
• Drive initiatives across teams to enhance reliability, security, developer productivity, and user interface quality.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to develop multi-quarter technical and UX strategies.
• Serve as a technical lead on major full-stack projects, without direct people management duties.
• Ensure platform and UI choices support both SaaS and on-premises operational environments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of full-stack engineering experience with a proven track record in architectural ownership encompassing frontend and backend domains.
• Strong system design skills at the architecture level in primary expertise areas—backend (distributed systems, API architectures) or frontend (component and rendering architecture at scale)—with proficiency across the complementary area.
• Expertise in Python and React frameworks.
• Demonstrated mentorship experience with ability to review and guide work across full stack.
• Proven success in leading significant end-to-end technical initiatives.
• Familiarity with platforms operating in both managed SaaS and on-premises/disconnected modes.
• Experience and architectural understanding of on-premises and air-gapped delivery models.
• Experience leading design systems alongside backend architecture management.
• Track record of prompting cross-disciplinary technical initiatives impacting multiple teams.
• Experience scaling combined frontend and backend engineering organizations.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an open-source project maintainer.
• Involvement in conference presentations, technical writing, or industry thought leadership.
• Proficiency in the Arabic language.
