Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Technical Lead to guide the technical design, delivery, and engineering quality of our AI71 platform. This role combines architecture, engineering leadership, and hands-on execution. You'll manage high-performing teams, influence technical strategy, collaborate with product, AI/ML, and leadership partners, and build resilient systems designed for enterprise use.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms.
• Lead technical design reviews; align teams with long-term engineering objectives.
• Promote software design best practices, maintain coding standards, and ensure system reliability.
• Make strategic build vs. buy decisions and assess new technologies.
• Identify and integrate AI tools into the software delivery process.
• Mentor engineers of all levels and provide leadership across multiple teams.
• Establish engineering standards, nurture a code review culture, and set quality benchmarks.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing performance development.
• Convert business needs into actionable technical plans.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality projects within scope.
• Collaborate with product management on roadmaps and technical feasibility.
• Manage technical risks and dependencies; safeguard technology in client deliveries.
• Oversee system performance, monitoring, logging, and ensure reliability.
• Work closely with DevSecOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and enforce security.
• Improve engineering efficiency through process and tooling optimizations.
• Drive pragmatic release management focused on achieving concrete results.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to integrate features smoothly.
• Define how architectural layers interact with frontend and backend teams.
• Communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs effectively to stakeholders.

Experience & Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• 8 to 12+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3 to 5+ years in a leadership or architectural role.
• Experience developing AI-powered or machine learning-enabled applications.
• Strong backend development skills, particularly with Python, and expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, relational and NoSQL databases, and API design.
• Proven experience leading code reviews and upholding engineering quality standards.

Preferred:

• Background in enterprise-grade or government systems.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, and privacy frameworks.
• Experience in high-growth startups or fast-paced environments.
