About Base360.ai and the Role

Base360.ai is developing an AI-driven operating system designed specifically for short-term rental businesses, integrating property management, guest communication, pricing, cleaning, maintenance, bookings, and financial reporting into a unified platform. The company aims to consolidate numerous disparate tools into one intelligent system that automates operations, boosts revenue, and enhances guest experiences.

This role as a Founder in Residence is unique; rather than joining an existing department, you will create one. Your goal is to pinpoint a significant market opportunity within the short-term rental sector, develop a new product or business line under Base360.ai, build and lead a team, validate the market need, and expand the venture into a standalone, revenue-generating business. Success in this position may lead to becoming the long-term leader of your own business unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify promising opportunities for new products or verticals in the short-term rental industry.
• Conduct market research and engage directly with property managers and rental operators to validate customer problems.
• Define clear product vision, strategies, and go-to-market plans.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and AI teams to develop and launch solutions rapidly.
• Recruit and lead a cross-functional team as the business grows.
• Manage growth metrics, product adoption, customer success, and financial results.
• Make informed, data-driven decisions and iterate quickly based on customer input.
• Report progress regularly to the company founders and executive leadership.
• Build a venture that may eventually function as its own division or independent entity.

While previous startup experience (founder, early employee, product lead, operator, or investor) is highly valued, it is not mandatory. Experience in short-term rentals, hospitality, or property technology is an advantage.
