Role Summary

The Client Platform team is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to enhance the quality and performance of the frontend ecosystem. In this role, you will improve architecture, optimize performance, and enforce maintainable coding standards that support seamless user experiences both internally and for our 35+ million global customers. This is a pivotal position influencing the core platform that supports hundreds of Postman engineers daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft modular, thoroughly documented SDKs and component libraries targeting internal teams and external developers, emphasizing usability, accessibility, and cross-platform performance.
• Design scalable, extensible frontend architectures with clear modular boundaries, interfaces, and abstraction layers balancing flexibility with uniformity.
• Promote and enforce architectural patterns that enhance code quality, maintainability, and scalability throughout Postman's frontend codebase.
• Lead engineering excellence by participating actively in architecture decisions, mentoring engineers on frontend best practices, and establishing standards that boost code standards and culture.
• Collaborate with product and engineering groups to identify, prioritize, and resolve technical debts through strategic refactoring, improving development speed and system reliability.

Candidate Profile

• More than 8 years of experience in frontend software engineering with proven skills in code quality and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary web technologies and best practices, including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, state management techniques, and testing frameworks.
• Experience architecting maintainable and scalable frontend systems for complex applications, including reusable component libraries and SDKs.
• Demonstrated success in elevating quality standards through both technical and cultural leadership.
• Excellent communication skills, openness to diverse viewpoints, and strong team collaboration abilities.
• Problem-solving aptitude that thrives under constraints and ownership-driven mindset with a team-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background with cross-platform applications such as Electron and hybrid desktop/web environments.
• Experience developing widely-used open-source libraries or SDKs with a large active user base.
