Role Purpose

The Senior S3D Tool Administrator will be primarily responsible for installation, setup, customization, management, and training related to the Smart 3D (S3D) software within FEED/EPC projects. This role reports to the Head of Department and coordinates with project management and information management teams, ensuring smooth tool administration and client interface.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure S3D Application Server and Client software.
• Create, customize, and manage S3D sites, plants, and catalog structures.
• Set up batch servers, name generators, IFC servers, clash rules, and rule checker services.
• Configure the global work share environment and Citrix for S3D usage.
• Develop multi-discipline catalogs, symbol customizations, and custom naming conventions.
• Customize the S3D multi-discipline support library utilizing Visual Studio.
• Modify deliverables including layouts, isometrics, and custom reports for multiple disciplines.
• Provide ongoing user support and training for S3D software.
• Support SPF integration setup according to project needs.
• Prepare project-specific procedures aligned with client requirements.
• Create project breakdown structures (PBS) suited to client and SPF needs, defining discipline-specific hierarchies.
• Manage all required customizations and configurations within S3D.
• Support publishing and retrieving data between S3D, SmartPlant P&ID, and SmartPlant Foundation.
• Troubleshoot user issues related to publishing, retrieving, and data correlation.
• Prepare 3D model review datasets and participate in client review meetings.
• Liaise with IT and Hexagon technical support for S3D-related issues.
• Lead internal audits and facilitate data handover processes to clients.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent diploma.
• Extensive S3D administration and customization experience, particularly with Dot Net programming (VB, C#).
• Strong understanding of engineering data flow in multi-discipline FEED/EPC projects.
• Between 13 to 16 years of relevant FEED/EPC work experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of pipe support and symbol customizations using Visual Studio.
• Experience customizing drawings, reports, and labels.
• Proficiency with SmartPlant Foundation for data retrieval, correlation, and publishing.

Preferred Skills

• Management capabilities.
• Experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Familiarity with Smart P&ID and other engineering tools.
• Knowledge of AVEVA E3D software.

Language and Communication

Professional proficiency in English is required.

Additional Information

The role involves direct interaction with clients and internal teams such as SP Tool Administrators, Discipline Leads, Project Engineering, and Information Management managers. Immediate availability is preferred. The position is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and requires onsite presence.
