Senior Production & Supply Chain Planning Engineer

About the Position

Based in Doha, Qatar, this role is situated within QatarEnergy LNG, the leading global producer of liquefied natural gas. The Senior Production & Supply Chain Planning Engineer is responsible for managing integrated supply chain planning, storage facility allocation, and vessel scheduling in a demanding 24/7 commercial setting. The position ensures flawless coordination among upstream producers, storage terminals, port operations, and worldwide customer delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create dependable loading schedules for Ras Laffan Terminal Operations (RLTO) by balancing tank storage inventories, rundown rates, and vessel berthing.
• Resolve berth and loading conflicts through cooperation with RLIC producers, sales operations, and port authorities to prevent operational disruptions.
• Develop short-term and long-term production forecasts for Non-LNG products and refinery feedstock across terminals.
• Continuously monitor actual versus forecasted rundown performance, updating models daily using advanced terminal planning software (HIMS) to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Assess planned and unplanned maintenance across storage and loading infrastructure, ensuring business continuity through proactive mitigation planning.
• Respond swiftly to unexpected facility downtimes by implementing mitigation plans, revising scheduling procedures, and maintaining conformity with joint-venture agreements.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years' experience in oil and gas commercial operations and shipping, including at least 5 years focusing on product or oil scheduling.
• Demonstrated expertise in both short- and long-term scheduling/planning for petroleum, LNG, or refined products.
• Experience handling complex supply chain constraints, berth allocation, and tank farm inventory.
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to perform effectively under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Information
