About the Role
Based in Dubai at the regional Centre of Excellence for CEVA Logistics, one of the foremost global third-party logistics providers, this role acts as a vital connection among contract logistics operations, customer solutions, and IT teams. The position focuses on managing and supporting Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementations, system testing, and optimizing operations across warehouse sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult on and execute WMS configurations for warehouse projects, including defining clustering, putaway strategies, packing logic, pick routing, zoning, and handling master data uploads.
- Provide direct implementation assistance on-site during new warehouse launches to ensure system settings align with actual operational workflows.
- Lead system testing efforts and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles for WMS updates, feature rollouts, and software patches.
- Manage system change requests at cluster-level, troubleshoot complex operational system issues, and coordinate improvements with the WMS Centre of Excellence.
- Deliver targeted functional training on WMS to frontline operations staff, site engineers, and key users across facilities.
- Offer internal consultancy regarding logistics operation processes, explain system functionalities, monitor electronic data interchange (EDI) message flows, and support customer site visits showcasing technological capabilities.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience in warehouse operations working with WMS technologies.
- Strong understanding of WMS operational logic such as putaway, routing, packing rules and familiarity with standard EDI message formats.
- Proven skills in conducting system testing, supporting UAT processes, and training operational key users.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally to support site go-lives and implementations.
