Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Planning Engineer to join our Fit-Out Factory team located in Dubai South. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in project planning and controls, specifically within fit-out projects, and demonstrate proficiency in Primavera P6, progress tracking, delay evaluation, and extension of time (EOT) preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and regularly update baseline project schedules and detailed construction plans encompassing design, procurement, approvals, onsite execution, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Recognize critical milestones, paths, and potential scheduling risks effectively.
• Track and report project progress against established baselines through reports, dashboards, and S-curves.
• Identify any delays and orchestrate recovery or mitigation strategies accordingly.
• Perform delay analyses and assist with EOT documentation and submissions.
• Maintain thorough documentation of delay occurrences and support the Commercial team with claims and variations.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, and Design teams to ensure alignment of design approvals, material delivery, and work progress with schedules.
• Participate in progress and coordination meetings to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Monitor resource utilization including manpower, equipment, and productivity metrics; track long-lead items, shop drawings, and material approvals.
• Identify resource shortages and procurement-related delays to optimize planning.
• Maintain up-to-date schedules and baseline revisions utilizing planning tools, ensuring precise project control documentation for reporting and audits.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in project planning and controls with mandatory fit-out sector experience.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 with practical application; P6 certification or formal training is preferred.
• Experience conducting delay analyses and preparing extension of time submissions.
• PMP training or certification is considered an advantage.
• Strong command over construction planning, scheduling, and project control processes.
• Excellent coordination, reporting, and communication abilities.
