Senior .NET Data Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly proficient .NET Data Engineer to contribute to the creation of an AI-powered Submission Management and Reserving Platform tailored for the insurance sector. This position demands expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, Azure cloud services, ETL methodologies, API integrations, along with React.js for frontend responsibilities. The role involves designing robust data pipelines, developing scalable backend applications, and delivering comprehensive reporting tools. Familiarity with insurance industry processes such as underwriting and reserving is considered highly beneficial.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable ETL workflows to extract, cleanse, transform, and load data originating from CSV files, APIs, and other external sources into SQL Server databases.
• Construct reusable and parameter-driven SQL stored procedures for migrating and transforming data effectively.
• Ensure that all data pipelines, import utilities, and stored procedures are idempotent and can manage duplicates, partial failures, and missing data.
• Conduct thorough data validation, reconciliation, and quality assessments after data imports and migrations.
• Design and develop .NET applications, including Azure Functions and related data processing tools using C#.
• Implement asynchronous and concurrent processing techniques to support high-volume data operations.
• Create resilient services that integrate APIs securely with authentication (OAuth, Bearer Token), retry logic, logging, and exception handling.
• Manage services using Dependency Injection, configuration via Azure Key Vault and Azure App Configuration.
• Utilize Entity Framework Core and LINQ extensively for database operations.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to maintain robust code quality.
• Integrate third-party platforms such as Salesforce via APIs.
• Design and maintain front-end components using React.js and TypeScript/JavaScript, ensuring responsiveness and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for end-to-end solution delivery.
• Craft KPI reports, dashboards, and SQL views to support analytics and business reporting requirements.
• Use Git and Azure DevOps for source control and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Document technical aspects including data flows, mappings, business rules, and data quality issues comprehensively.

Necessary Skills and Technologies

• Proficient in C# and .NET frameworks including .NET Core.
• Advanced SQL Server skills including stored procedures, T-SQL, and database schema design.
• Experienced in designing and maintaining ETL and data integration pipelines.
• Hands-on with Azure Functions, Azure App Configuration, and Azure Key Vault.
• Deep understanding of Entity Framework Core and LINQ querying.
• RESTful API development and secure integration using OAuth and Bearer Tokens.
• Mastery of asynchronous (async/await) programming patterns.
• Frontend skills in React.js with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Git version control and Azure DevOps for CI/CD workflow management.
• Competent in unit testing and integration testing methodologies.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience in .NET development coupled with data engineering projects.
• Proven track record in handling data-intensive, enterprise-level software applications.
• Background or knowledge of AI-enabled platforms and advanced analytics is desirable.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholder engagement skills.
• Availability for immediate joining, preferably before the first week of October.
