The Forensic practice at KPMG consists of specialists with extensive backgrounds in investigations, anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), data analytics, forensic technologies, and dispute resolution. The team has supported major global corporations on critical matters of public interest within Singapore.

  • Investigating cases involving fraud, misconduct, and corruption

Forensic Data Analytics Team and Role Overview

The Forensic Data Analytics team brings together data, technical, and analytical expertise to create investigative and compliance solutions. They design analytical tools and dashboards across sectors, uniting business insights with technical capabilities.

As a Solutions Architect Associate, you will assist in the design, development, and integration of applications and systems supporting forensic data analytics projects. This role favors those passionate about full-stack development, system architecture, and solving complex technical problems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehend interactions among applications, platforms, and data sources to deliver end-to-end outcomes
  • Map system interactions, data flows, and interdependencies across integrated solutions
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack application components, including front-end, back-end, and databases
  • Build and upgrade web applications, APIs, and data integrations abiding by established standards
  • Troubleshoot defects, implement improvements, and support system customizations
  • Support system integrations between applications, databases, and external services, including implementation and maintenance
  • Deploy and configure application components in various environments such as development, testing, and production
  • Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements like reliability and maintainability
  • Understand networking concepts including segmentation, IP addressing, ports, protocols, and connectivity
  • Apply IT security principles to application and integration design, considering authentication, authorization, and secure configuration
  • Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) in line with organizational IT security policies
  • Provide hands-on support for software and system issues, perform debugging and troubleshooting
  • Assist in root cause analysis and resolution of incidents impacting systems and solutions
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements
  • Contribute technical expertise during solution design discussions
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation such as solution designs and data flows

Candidate Qualifications and Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, Javascript, and Typescript programming languages
  • Experience or exposure to React, FastAPI, Flask, and Django frameworks is advantageous
  • Knowledge or experience with cloud architectures, particularly Azure and AWS, is a bonus
  • Demonstrated interest in system thinking, system integrations, and technical architectural concepts
