Position Overview
We are seeking a highly proficient Senior Mendix Developer to join a major digital transformation initiative based in Dubai, UAE. This role is essential for designing and maintaining large-scale Mendix applications for web and native mobile platforms within an enterprise setting.
Key Duties
- Create and support enterprise-grade Mendix applications on both web and native mobile platforms.
- Develop reusable components including modules, business logic, workflows, integrations, and user interfaces.
- Collaborate effectively with Solution Architects, UI/UX designers, integration specialists, DevOps, QA teams, and fellow Mendix developers.
- Translate business and technical requirements into efficient and scalable Mendix solutions.
- Develop and utilize REST and SOAP APIs, integrating with enterprise systems and platforms.
- Address and resolve complex issues related to application functionality, performance, and integrations.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural design sessions.
- Adhere to enterprise standards for development, security protocols, and application governance.
- Support software releases, manage production issues, and drive continuous application enhancements.
- Contribute to multiple application streams covering diverse and intricate business domains.
Essential Experience & Skills
- 6 to 10 years of software development experience, with substantial hands-on Mendix expertise.
- Proven track record developing complex, enterprise-level Mendix applications.
- Strong background in building both web and native mobile applications.
- Experienced in handling intricate business processes, workflows, APIs, and third-party integrations.
- Solid understanding of application architectures, databases, security, APIs, and performance optimization.
- Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary enterprise delivery teams.
- Ability to comprehend legacy systems and actively participate in architectural design of technical solutions.
Language Requirements
- Fluent English for professional communication, technical dialogue, documentation, and international client engagement.
- Fluent Arabic to interact efficiently with Arabic-speaking stakeholders in Dubai across business and technology domains.
Desired Candidate Profile
We value candidates with broad experience in managing large and multifaceted systems beyond standalone Mendix projects. Candidates should demonstrate capability in Mendix development across web and native mobile, API integrations, enterprise-grade cloud and database systems, alongside production QA processes. Taking full ownership of technical assignments, collaborating with senior architects and engineers, and delivering enterprise-grade production solutions are key attributes. Effective communication in both English and Arabic with technical and business stakeholders is essential.
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
