Job description
About the Role
We are searching for a seasoned UX/UI Designer with 5-7+ years of experience to join a delivery team dedicated to a multi-phase enterprise Mendix programme. This initiative encompasses external web portals, internal back-office applications, and native iOS/Android mobile apps — all requiring seamless bilingual (Arabic and English) interfaces with right-to-left (RTL) support and compliance with government accessibility standards. The position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and immediate availability is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed screen designs and interactive prototypes as part of in-depth analysis workshops, contributing to finalized requirements documentation.
- Develop user interfaces for web portals, back-office tools, and mobile applications that fully support bilingual Arabic/English with RTL layouts.
- Implement government-mandated accessibility standards on web and mobile platforms to ensure compliance.
- Customize and extend Mendix Atlas UI themes by reusing existing UI components from prior project phases.
- Design bilingual notification messages and user flows including sign-in, request tracking, and document upload functions.
- Collaborate closely during build and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases by conducting design reviews and addressing feedback with appropriate adjustments.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in designing bilingual Arabic/English interfaces with comprehensive RTL layout support.
- Knowledge and application of accessibility standards specific to government services.
- Proficiency in developing prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Experience with theming using Mendix Atlas UI framework.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in delivering projects for government entities or regulated sectors.
- Exposure to financial or case-management system development.
- Fluency in Arabic language skills.
- Previous experience working within the Middle East region.
