Role Overview
We invite experienced Senior High Voltage Engineers to express interest for upcoming energy and infrastructure projects situated in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will take charge of technical leadership responsibilities in the design and execution of high voltage power systems, encompassing transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and large-scale infrastructure undertakings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering design and implementation of HV and EHV substations, covering AIS and GIS technologies.
- Develop and review technical documentation such as substation layouts, single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and specification sheets.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, utility providers, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Conduct protection relay studies, select appropriate equipment, and critically review design documents.
- Support various phases including procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and assurance processes with technical expertise.
- Offer mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and design personnel.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or an allied field.
- Have 8 to 12 years of professional experience in the field of high-voltage power engineering.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in AIS/GIS substation design and protection systems.
- Be familiar with IEC, IEEE, utility standards, and grid code requirements relevant to the industry.
- Experience in projects involving transmission, distribution, renewable energy, or large infrastructural developments.
- Exhibit exceptional technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Prior exposure to Middle East or Saudi Arabian project environments is highly advantageous.
