Role Overview

The Senior General Manager (SGM) of Cybersecurity leads the cybersecurity division across ALJ Motors, driving protection for information assets, digital services, and critical operations. This leadership role is responsible for creating and maintaining the cybersecurity governance framework, orchestrating strategy and roadmaps, managing cyber risks, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and supporting secure business processes and digital transformations. Collaborating closely with Corporate Cybersecurity and other internal teams, the SGM ensures alignment, accountability, and execution of ALJM-specific cybersecurity functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously improve the ALJ Motors Cybersecurity Strategy, governance, policies, standards, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead oversight of cybersecurity governance by identifying, assessing, and managing risks, maintaining the Cyber Risk Register, and ensuring risk treatment and assurance activities are effectively executed.
  • Advise senior management on cyber risks, investment priorities, regulatory changes, and strategic decisions.
  • Manage cybersecurity operations governance including monitoring, incident response, vulnerability and identity management, endpoint protection, and cyber recovery across internal teams and third-party providers.
  • Lead cybersecurity incident governance, crisis preparedness, business continuity planning from a cybersecurity perspective, and ongoing resilience enhancement.
  • Coordinate ALJM-specific cybersecurity initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Embed cybersecurity requirements into business processes, projects, digital initiatives, and technology solutions to support secure transformation.
  • Promote a cybersecurity-conscious culture through enterprise awareness programs, leadership engagement, communications, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Provide frequent executive reporting on cybersecurity posture, emerging threats, key risks, and strategic plans.
  • Foster collaboration with Corporate Cybersecurity, Motors IT, JTECH, business units, regulators, auditors, and external parties.
  • Oversee cybersecurity team development, performance management, and vendor relationships to encourage innovation and professionalism.

Performance Metrics

  • Completion rate of cybersecurity strategic roadmap initiatives.

  • Reduction of overdue cyber risks and approvals of treatment plans.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields; Master's degree (MBA, Cybersecurity, Risk Management) preferred.
  • At least 12 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or related disciplines, including a minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles managing governance, cyber risk, compliance, and teams within large or complex organizations.
  • Experience with NCA regulations implementations is required.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, and others (ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, COBIT, ISO 22301, CCSP) are advantageous.
