Role Purpose
The Auto Technician Diagnostic is responsible for performing automotive repair services and mechanical tasks to achieve customer satisfaction and boost service sales, while adhering to the company's mission, vision, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute vehicle repairs correctly on the first attempt according to customer requests, ensuring all work is completed within promised timelines and meets high-quality standards.
- Assess vehicle damage fully, notify the Foreman about any additional repair needs, and coordinate with the Service Advisor and customers for approval.
- Handle customer vehicles carefully by using protective coverings and returning them clean to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Carry out aftersales duties including repairs and periodic maintenance in line with company policies, under the guidance of the Team Leader.
- Stay updated on technical bulletins and daily work activities through regular meetings to continuously improve technical knowledge and support smooth aftersales operations.
- Support aftersales marketing efforts, promote Kaizen activities, and adapt to business strategies to meet center targets.
- Collaborate with service teams to perform tasks following standard operating procedures and contribute to achieving operational goals.
- Maintain adequate tool inventory to fulfill service and repair demands, aiming for zero comebacks and meeting monthly productivity targets.
- Utilize service facilities, tools, and equipment responsibly while ensuring safety, welfare, and upholding the company’s brand image.
- Accurately record work hours by clocking in and out for each repair order.
- Maintain cleanliness and a professional appearance in the workshop according to environmental safety policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of High School education or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience in automotive service roles.
- Possession of a valid Diagnostic Technician Certificate.
