About the Role
Join Ryanair Labs, the digital innovation hub of Europe's leading airline, as a Senior Frontend Developer. Be part of an ambitious journey aiming to expand the fleet to 800 aircraft and serve 300 million customers in the next eight years. The team focuses on crafting cutting-edge travel experiences using the latest frontend technologies within a cloud-native ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop superior user interfaces across the Ryanair.com platform and other related operational applications.
- Build high-quality, testable, and efficient software employing agile methodologies.
- Promote and implement best practices in software development, inspiring the team with enthusiasm and expertise.
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to define, estimate, and plan new features.
- Regularly present new developments to product owners and business stakeholders for feedback.
- Continuously pursue improvements within the development team and processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of eight years’ experience as a Frontend Developer.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in modern frontend tools including Angular, HTML5, and Typescript.
- Competence in writing custom JavaScript solutions and utilizing existing frameworks effectively.
- Deep understanding of performance optimization strategies for high-traffic websites.
- Skill in developing cross-browser and device-compatible web applications.
- Familiarity or practical experience with agile development environments.
- Strong user experience focus and passion.
- Experience working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic workplace with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of coding standards pertinent to security and performance in high-volume sites.
- Background working on extensive e-commerce websites and their databases.
- A plus is proficiency in AWS cloud services.
