Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Estimation and Tendering Manager to oversee bid activities for key EPC projects within the Oil & Gas, Energy, LNG, Petrochemical, Power, Utilities, and Infrastructure sectors. This leadership role involves managing cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple disciplines to prepare competitive proposals under strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct estimation and tendering tasks for significant EPC projects across various sectors such as Oil & Gas and Power.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary bid teams comprising Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Planning, Commercial, Finance, and Project Controls.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, tender strategies, conduct commercial assessments, and evaluate project risks.
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract terms, including FIDIC contracts.
- Deliver technically and commercially competitive proposals within the allotted submission timelines.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, joint venture partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants during the bidding phases.
Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 15 years of professional experience in Estimation and Tendering focused on large EPC projects.
- Strong background with Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, LNG, Petrochemical, Power, and Utility projects.
- Demonstrated leadership in handling major bids, cost estimating, commercial evaluation, and tender planning.
Professional Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in quantity take-off, construction methodologies, resource scheduling, productivity standards, and indirect cost calculations.
- Thorough knowledge of the EPC project lifecycle, contract management, tender process, and commercial evaluation.
- Capability to identify risks related to technical, commercial, contractual, and execution aspects.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, negotiation prowess, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, presentations, report writing, and communication.
- Capacity to manage several tenders concurrently in a high-pressure setting.
- Willingness to undertake international travel as necessary.
