About the Role
As a Senior Engineer within the Engine Life Management Team (ELMT) based in Singapore at Eagle Services Asia, you will report directly to the Associate Director, ELMT Asia Pacific. Your core responsibility will be to support engine centers and component repair shops involved in the overhaul and maintenance of commercial aircraft engines. This role focuses on engineering support in areas such as repair and limits development, structural analysis, engine investigations, data trending, salvage assessments, metrology, reverse engineering, project management, shop support, and technology advancement. Deployment to other local and international sites may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure technical data adheres to airworthiness standards, confirming repairs and limits are safe, durable, and meet quality standards for components through analysis oversight or execution.
- Perform repair design and conduct structural analyses to fulfill technical data requirements.
- Provide operational support to customers by resolving field support issues promptly, aiding hardware disposition to optimize shop turnaround times and reduce workload.
- Analyze local hardware distress data to identify necessary repairs and maintenance limits, contributing to spare parts provisioning leveraging distress trends and metrology findings.
- Investigate component operating environments and interactions with associated parts to develop effective strategies for returning damaged components to service.
- Collaborate closely with OEM design teams to align priorities, comprehend programmatic challenges, and participate in engine investigations.
- Review repair process standard work instructions and manage related projects as needed.
- Lead and participate in technology research and projects supporting repair shops.
- Continue building deep knowledge of engine technologies, systems, business processes, regulations, and customer needs.
- Promote a culture of innovative technical ownership and responsibility sharing within the ELMT regional team community.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at cost-efficient program development and execution.
- Undertake any additional duties as assigned, including potential occasional international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical & Production Engineering, Materials Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- At least 6 years’ experience in aerospace aftermarket or maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) business environments.
- Strong technical expertise with commercial gas turbine engines.
- Demonstrated engineering aptitude with the capacity for independent learning.
- Effective communication skills, including strong written and verbal presentation abilities.
- Exhibit sound business judgement, results orientation, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Second-upper-class honors (2:1) or higher academic distinction.
- Experience with project management methodologies, tools, and continuous improvement practices.
