The Data Enablement Team plays a crucial role in empowering the organization by creating reusable platforms, tools, and services. These resources assist users and applications in discovering, understanding, and securely accessing reliable data products for production, analytics, and research purposes. The team manages the enterprise Data Portal and the FinSights BI Portal, builds low-latency consumption services on the Enterprise Data Fabric and data catalog, and provides governance and operational dashboards embedded within the platform. Automation and intelligent approaches are key to enhancing data discoverability, comprehension, and self-service capabilities, always ensuring strict security, entitlements, and policy enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Data Enablement services and platform components to enhance data discovery, access, and self-service functionalities.
• Engage with end-users and stakeholders to collect feedback, refining features to ensure practical application and widespread adoption.
• Develop high-performance, scalable, resilient, and secure solutions adhering to DevSecOps and operational standards.
• Contribute to architectural design and documentation such as low-level designs and interface specifications, and support governance activities like architectural review and information security processes.
• Collaborate with Cloud Foundation and Data Foundation teams for integration with shared services, entitlements, and platform standards.
• Create and upkeep backend services, including serverless and containerized deployments that support enterprise data platforms and portals.
• Implement and maintain robust APIs with consideration for contracts, versioning, and data validation.
• Support workflow automation capabilities within Data Enablement solutions while complying with enterprise control measures.

Candidate Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience focused on delivering production-grade services using Python.
• Proficient with AWS cloud technologies including networking and secure access mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts including authentication and authorization.
• Experience designing and building backend services and APIs using REST or GraphQL, with knowledge of event-driven architectures and resiliency approaches.
• Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code and DevSecOps methodologies, such as Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and security controls.
• Knowledge of observability practices like monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
• Thorough experience in API design, including OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, versioning strategies, and backward compatibility.
• Skilled in working with structured data formats and schema management, particularly JSON.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization tools such as Cognito and IAM.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with agentic or orchestration frameworks including AWS Bedrock, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
• Understanding of retrieval methods like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and GraphRAG.
• Working knowledge of vector search technologies such as OpenSearch, Pinecone, or Weaviate.
• Experience with containerization and platform operations, including Docker and Kubernetes or EKS.
• Exposure to enterprise data platforms, catalogs, or governed data access patterns.
• Certifications related to AWS Data & Analytics or machine learning are considered advantages.
