Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed cost estimates by compiling comprehensive take-offs aligned with project scopes and inputting data into digital estimating tools, ensuring verification for completeness and precision.
• Interpret Electrical Technical Specifications and Employer Requirements specifically for Design & Build high voltage substations and windfarm projects.
• Coordinate the tendering process across departments, managing timelines to guarantee punctual tender submission.
• Support the assembly of technical tender documentation, including identifying inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and scheduling of works.
• Oversee the solicitation and evaluation of quotations to ensure comprehensive and accurate costing.
• Simultaneously handle multiple projects, anticipating potential risks and advising the bidding team with recommended mitigations.
• Conduct post-submission follow-ups, documenting feedback accurately and participating in tender review meetings.
• Upon successful contract award, collaborate with Construction Teams to communicate estimation details thoroughly to facilitate smooth project transition.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a relevant third-level degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent field.
• Hold a minimum of five years' construction industry experience including at least two years as a Senior Electrical Estimator.
• Demonstrated experience estimating electrical projects exceeding €10 million, ideally within pharmaceutical, industrial, data centre, or commercial sectors.
• Proven leadership and innovative skills in electrical and technical domains.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
• Strong management abilities to lead, develop, and retain large teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail paired with multitasking capabilities and excellent organizational skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of impactful interactions.
• Effective problem solver with analytical and decisive decision-making abilities.
