Role Overview

The role of Senior Electrical Engineer is a full-time, on-site position located in Abu Dhabi, working from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM across five working days weekly. This role is pivotal in leading the electrical design efforts across building and infrastructure projects, covering all phases from concept and schematic development to detailed design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of power distribution and lighting systems within projects.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and review shop drawings.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, and mechanical engineering teams.
• Support site inspections and troubleshoot technical challenges during project execution.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Contribute to quality assurance processes, value engineering, and ensure timely achievement of project milestones.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional experience in electrical engineering.
• Documented experience working with engineering consultancies in Abu Dhabi.
• Expertise in designing and coordinating electrical systems for building developments.
• Comprehensive understanding of Abu Dhabi's authority regulations and approval processes.
• Knowledgeable of local and international electrical standards, safety measures, and codes.
• Proficiency with design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation/design tools.
• Ability to produce and evaluate electrical calculations, specifications, drawings, and submissions.
• Strong coordination skills across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
