Electrical Design Engineer / Data Center

Overview

This role involves leading electrical and ELV design tasks for Data Center projects located in Saad, Saudi Arabia. It requires thorough expertise in electrical systems related to critical infrastructure and Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate electrical and ELV design documents, including drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and technical specifications tailored for Data Center construction.
• Manage medium and low voltage electrical equipment such as power distribution networks, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, transformers, switchgear, and other essential power systems.
• Design and review ELV systems like Building Management Systems (BMS), CCTV, access control, structured cabling, fire alarm, and security solutions to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Conduct and validate electrical calculations including load assessments, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit evaluations to guarantee system adequacy and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 up to over 10 years of experience in electrical and ELV system design.
• Possess a Bachelor's degree (B.Tech or B.E.) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a closely related field.
• Proven background specifically in Data Center electrical design is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in critical power infrastructure and Data Center electrical/ELV system concepts required.
• Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or equivalent software platforms.
• Experience working within Saudi Arabia or the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is a valued advantage.
