Electrical Project Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to oversee execution and supervision of 380kV substation projects and associated electrical and civil works in Saudi Arabia. The candidate will ensure all work aligns with project specifications, SEC standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements while adhering to approved schedules.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations for 380kV BSP/substation projects ensuring smooth execution.
• Coordinate efforts between engineering teams, construction workers, subcontractors, and SEC officials.
• Verify all work complies with approved drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
• Monitor progress regarding manpower deployment, material availability, and overall site resources.
• Ensure timely completion of inspections, tests, documentation, and the closure of all site activities.
• Proactively identify and resolve any technical or construction challenges encountered.
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, environmental (HSE), quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and SEC regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) is required.
• Between 10 and 15 years of hands-on experience in project execution relevant to electrical substations.
• Demonstrated experience specifically with 380kV Bulk Supply Point (BSP) or substation projects.
• Mandatory to have SEC approval certification for project roles.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards, execution protocols, site coordination, and subcontractor management.
• Expertise in high voltage substation operations.
