ELV Engineer - Data Centre

Jacobs is focused on innovating to address the most pressing challenges in urban development, environmental sustainability, advanced manufacturing, and critical missions. We are currently recruiting an experienced ICT/ELV Engineer to join our team overseeing the construction supervision for Hyperscale Data Center projects throughout the Middle East. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of various ICT, telecommunication, and low-current systems crucial to mission-critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supervision of ICT and telecommunications construction works, ensuring strict adherence to project standards and specifications.
• Evaluate and approve contractor submissions including technical designs, shop drawings, testing methodologies, and material documentation.
• Oversee the setup and testing of structured cabling networks, fiber optic systems, telecommunication frameworks, LAN/WAN infrastructures, data hall connectivity, and network equipment rooms.
• Manage deployment of DCIM platforms, BMS integration, CCTV, access control, public address, and other security-related systems.
• Coordinate ICT-related tasks with the electrical, mechanical, commissioning, and operational teams to ensure comprehensive integration.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), integrated system testing, commissioning, and consequent operational approvals.
• Ensure that all ICT systems installations are thoroughly documented and comply with project requirements.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, ICT, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Preferred certifications include BICSI RCDD, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent Data Center qualifications.
• Demonstrated 8 to 10 years of experience in ICT engineering.
• At least 3 to 5 years of direct involvement with Hyperscale, Tier III or IV Data Centers, or other mission-critical facility projects.
• Hands-on experience with structured cabling systems, fiber optic technology, security infrastructures, data center connectivity, DCIM, and integrated low current systems.
• Proven knowledge and participation in ICT testing, integration, and commissioning processes.
• Familiarity with ANSI/TIA, BICSI, IEC, ISO standards and overall data center industry practices.
