Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee and inspect electrical installations on pumping stations and sewage treatment plant projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, review, and approve design documents and drawings related to electrical power supply (both HV and LV) and electrical plant design including motors, motor control centers, power supply, PIDs, and control philosophy related to sewerage pumping stations and sewage treatment works (STWs) and associated process buildings.
• Demonstrate expertise in design knowledge of pumping stations and electrical equipment used in STWs.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical specifications and Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) requirements.
• Understand operational and maintenance needs of electrical equipment in detail.
• Design primary and secondary substations.
• Conduct peer reviews of electrical contract documents, calculations, and reports.
• Evaluate, comment on, and recommend approval or otherwise of submissions from Project Companies.
• In-depth understanding of testing and commissioning procedures including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) of electrical equipment.
• Familiarity with Kahramaa specifications.
• Review, verify, comment, monitor, and provide No Objection recommendations for inspection, pre-commissioning, and commissioning plans submitted by project entities.
• Perform design duties and other related tasks as assigned.
• Experience overseeing commissioning activities of electrical installations and witnessing acceptance tests with all relevant parties and government bodies.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Preferably a Chartered Engineer registered with a recognized Professional Institution, subject to approval.
• Extensive experience reviewing and validating data to ensure compliance with technical specifications, applicable laws, standards, approvals, and industry best practices outlined in the Project Management documents.
• Commitment to ethical and integrity-driven work while prioritizing safety and security.
• Strong skills in prioritization, advocacy, focus, and accountability.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
