Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with substantial experience in designing, assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning control panels. This role involves work with a variety of electrical panels including LT Panels, PLC Panels, MCC Panels, PCC Panels, APFC Panels, and HVAC Control Systems. The position is based in Hyderabad/Kompally, within sectors like HVAC, Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, and Electrical Panel Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop electrical control panels aligned with project specifications and requirements.
• Prepare detailed electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuit documentation using AutoCAD or EPLAN software.
• Select and specify electrical components such as MCCBs, MCBs, VFDs, PLCs, relays, contactors, sensors, SMPS, and control transformers.
• Develop electrical Bills of Materials (BOMs), calculate electrical loads, draft cable schedules, and define component specifications.
• Oversee panel wiring, assembly, inspection, and testing procedures.
• Analyze and resolve issues in electrical and control systems encountered during panel testing, installation, and commissioning.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant electrical safety standards and quality control protocols.
• Collaborate with multiple teams including Project Management, Production, HVAC, Design, Procurement, and Service to achieve smooth project delivery.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), documenting results thoroughly.
• Provide support for site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
• Engage in technical discussions with clients related to electrical and control aspects.

Candidate Profile and Skills

• Strong knowledge of PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), SCADA systems, and industrial automation.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing and maintenance of MCC, PCC, APFC, and HVAC control panels.
• Proficient understanding of electrical load calculations, cable sizing, protection device selection, and control circuit design.
• Familiar with industrial electrical wiring standards and practices as well as control panel fabrication methods.
• Well-versed in applicable electrical safety regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and adept problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively across technical and managerial stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (B.Tech, B.E., or Diploma).
• Preferred industry background includes HVAC, cleanroom environments, industrial automation, pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, and industrial equipment manufacturing.

Software and Tools

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for schematic and layout work.
• Experience with EPLAN software is preferred.
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite.

Additional Requirements

• Capability to manage site-level installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Willingness to travel as necessary for project execution and site commissions.
• Strong ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate project progress and resolution of issues.
• Preference for candidates with practical experience in control panel manufacturing and HVAC automation.
