Job Overview
This role involves leading the maintenance operations of electrical equipment in the Central Region (Riyadh area), ensuring compliance with Saudi Energy procedures, standards, and requirements. The engineer will oversee the readiness and reliability of electrical installations, directing both preventive and corrective maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks for electrical equipment including transformers, breakers, distribution panels, medium and high voltage switches, and protection and control systems.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules aligned with Saudi Energy standards.
- Perform fault diagnosis, root cause analyses and recommend technical solutions.
- Supervise site teams, delegate work, and monitor team performance.
- Conduct technical testing such as insulation resistance and protection tests, with complete documentation of outcomes.
- Prepare and submit periodic technical and fault reports to management and relevant authorities.
- Coordinate with Saudi Energy representatives ensuring all activities meet specifications and contractual obligations.
- Enforce occupational safety and health practices across all maintenance operations, ensuring team safety.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and materials to ensure smooth maintenance activities.
- Contribute to project handover activities by reviewing technical drawings and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in electrical equipment maintenance, ideally on projects aligned with Saudi Energy or similar energy sector undertakings.
- Deep understanding of Saudi Energy standards.
- Membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is mandatory.
- Preferred experience with medium and high voltage systems (13.8kV, 33kV, 132kV).
- Proficiency in Arabic and English, both verbal and written.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel across Central Region project sites.
