Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to develop, automate, and oversee contemporary cloud infrastructures and deployment workflows. You will be instrumental in enhancing software delivery pipelines, infrastructure robustness, security measures, and overall operational quality.

The ideal professional possesses extensive practical experience with cloud service providers, Infrastructure as Code methodologies, continuous integration and continuous delivery automation, container orchestration using Kubernetes, Docker, and system monitoring tools. Collaboration with development, quality assurance, security, and infrastructure teams will be crucial to ensure scalable and stable production environments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructures across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Author and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Automate the provisioning and operational procedures through scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Enhance infrastructure for better scalability, security, availability, and manage cost efficiency.
• Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps to automate build, testing, deployment, rollback, and release processes.
• Support release management and ensure smooth production deployments while improving deployment speed and reliability.
• Construct and sustain Docker containerized applications and administer Kubernetes workloads in production setups, including troubleshooting container and orchestration issues.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or Datadog to maintain system health and promptly respond to incidents.
• Conduct root cause analyses for production incidents, enforce preventive strategies, and maintain comprehensive deployment and operational documentation including runbooks and SOPs.
• Integrate security best practices such as vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and dependency checks into CI/CD workflows to enhance continuous security compliance.
• Constantly evolve DevOps workflows through automation and adherence to standardized best practices.

Necessary Skills and Expertise

• Deep hands-on knowledge of cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform with proficiency in IAM, networking, storage, compute resources, virtual networks, DNS, load balancers, and firewall/security groups.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, primarily Terraform, along with CloudFormation and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
• Containerization expertise using Docker and Kubernetes orchestration management.
• Advanced scripting skills in Bash, Python, and PowerShell to automate tasks and streamline operations.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, and Datadog.
• Solid understanding of networking and security protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, firewall configurations, IAM, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning methodologies.
