As part of this evolution, we are inviting Senior Developers and Tech Leads passionate about AI to join our Digital Engineering team. This role involves working on cutting-edge AI projects, collaborating across multiple teams to design and develop AI-driven software utilizing advanced AI models to solve complex business problems.
Responsibilities and Opportunities
- Lead and deliver AI-focused software projects within the Digital Engineering team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative AI solutions.
- Drive the deployment and fine-tuning of AI models to meet production demands.
- Push boundaries in AI development, contributing to Datacom's global recognition.
Required Expertise
- Over 7 years of professional experience in software development, preferably with proficiency in Python and Typescript, and practical experience in machine learning/artificial intelligence production environments.
- Proven track record delivering at least one generative AI production system (e.g., chatbots, summarisation tools, code assistants).
- Extensive knowledge of transformer models and orchestration frameworks like LangChain (v0.2+), LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
- Hands-on experience deploying or fine-tuning models on cloud platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or SageMaker.
- Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques, vector databases, and evaluation metrics including BLEU, ROUGE-L, and GPTScore.
- Cloud-native engineering capabilities including containerization with Docker, orchestration via Kubernetes (AKS/EKS), infrastructure-as-code implementation, and automated testing methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with agent frameworks like AutoGen (0.2/0.4), CrewAI, and tool-using agents.
- Knowledge of multimodal model workflows combining image and text processing with GPT-4o or other real-time APIs.
- Hands-on work with embedding models and workspace automation through agentic frameworks.
- Understanding of advanced RAG variants such as LongRAG, Self-RAG, GraphRAG and awareness of trade-offs among vector stores like Pinecone, Qdrant, FAISS, and Azure AI Search.
- Experience delivering multimodal and streaming large language model solutions including real-time GPT-4o or Gemini 2 Ultra for image-to-text or speech applications and cross-modal embeddings.
