About the Role
A rapidly expanding FinTech company in Dubai seeks a Senior Data Scientist to enhance their data analytics capabilities, specifically focusing on credit risk and credit modelling. This position requires a proactive, hands-on approach to developing and deploying predictive models within consumer lending environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement credit risk, credit scoring, and underwriting models.
- Analyze large-scale customer and transactional datasets to generate insights and support risk assessments.
- Collaborate with product management, risk, and engineering teams to integrate models into production systems.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects, from development to deployment in a dynamic startup setting.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of five years in data science or machine learning roles, with a focus on credit, lending or consumer finance sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in constructing and operationalizing credit risk models.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and model development.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving FinTech or startup environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
