Investment Director

About the Role

We are partnering with a leading Family Office in the UAE to recruit an Investment Director who will join their investment team. This senior position is tasked with overseeing the identification, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities across a broad, multi-sector portfolio. The sectors of emphasis include media, consumer-focused companies, technology, sports, and other strategic fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and assess new investment prospects within media, consumer, technology, sports, and related industries.
• Manage the complete investment process from initial screening and commercial analysis to due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and execution.
• Formulate comprehensive investment theses and deliver recommendations to the Investment Committee and leadership of the Family Office.
• Lead financial modeling, valuation studies, market research, and scenario planning.
• Oversee financial, commercial, legal, and operational due diligence activities.
• Negotiate transaction structures and vital commercial terms alongside both internal teams and external consultants.
• Evaluate investments based on financial outcomes as well as strategic importance.
• Monitor portfolio companies and provide strategic guidance to their management teams.
• Identify avenues for growth, partnerships, acquisitions, and eventual divestitures across the portfolio.
• Establish and nurture relationships with founders, management, advisors, investment banks, funds, and other stakeholders.
• Stay well-informed about emerging investment trends and shifts in consumer and technological landscapes.

Candidate Profile

• Proven success in executing investments spanning several sectors rather than specializing in a single niche.
• Significant experience in Media/Entertainment, Consumer, and/or Technology investments.
• Some background in Sports investments is a plus but not mandatory.
• Able to evaluate established companies as well as growth-stage businesses.
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, deal structuring, and conducting thorough due diligence.
• Track record of managing transactions from origination through to closing.
• Exceptional commercial acumen, capable of assessing opportunities where non-traditional factors like brand, audience, intellectual property, or strategic value are important.
• Experienced in collaborating with senior executives, founders, and investment committees.
• International investment experience is preferred, ideally covering regions such as the Middle East, Europe, the US, or other major markets.
