About the Role
Our client, a prominent worldwide luxury retail company, is looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist based in Singapore. The role focuses on creating and scaling sophisticated analytics, machine learning models, and Generative AI solutions that foster business advancement, improve client engagements, and streamline operational efficiency across the Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and deploying predictive analytics models, personalized recommendation systems, forecasting tools, and AI-enhanced applications spanning CRM, retail operations, merchandising, marketing, and business management. Collaboration with stakeholders, data engineers, and tech partners is essential to develop comprehensive data science products encompassing experimentation, model creation, production rollout, and continuous performance tracking.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, data science techniques, and AI product lifecycle development.
- Expert-level programming skills in Python along with proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow frameworks.
- Practical experience deploying ML/AI solutions within cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Generative AI technologies including large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) structures, semantic search capabilities, and agentic AI approaches.
- Design and implementation experience of A/B testing protocols, experimentation methodologies, and quantifying business impact from data science initiatives.
- Strong communication skills to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical business partners effectively.
- A commitment to innovation, ongoing professional development, and ethical AI governance principles.
Technical Environment and Tools
- Use of cloud AI platforms such as Databricks, Azure ML, AWS SageMaker.
- Familiarity with Generative AI development frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph.
- Containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Adherence to software development best practices involving Git version control.
