Role Overview

The Senior Data Engineer will take ownership of designing, implementing, and scaling the ETL/ELT data pipelines that support the company's analytics and AI initiatives. This role centers on managing the flow from data ingestion through transformation, modeling, and aggregation within a modern data stack based on Snowflake, ensuring high data quality, automation, and adherence to best practices in data engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance reliable ELT pipelines spanning ingestion to aggregation layers in the data warehouse.
• Integrate robust data quality checks, test automation, and monitoring throughout pipeline stages.
• Maintain and improve existing data products and conduct proof-of-concept projects for emerging data solutions.
• Monitor pipeline performance, set up alert systems, and perform maintenance to assure platform reliability.
• Utilize AI tools to automate coding, pipeline processes, and data quality validation within engineering workflows.
• Participate in defining and evolving the organization's data governance frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with analytics, BI, and business units to supply accurate and well-structured data assets.

Candidate Profile

• 5 to 7 years of solid experience in data engineering roles, specifically with production-scale environments.
• Expertise in Python and SQL for data manipulation and pipeline development.
• In-depth knowledge of dimensional data modeling, warehouse performance tuning, and SQL best practices tailored to data warehouses.
• Hands-on skills in data warehouse testing and automation frameworks to ensure quality and reliability.
• Experience managing workflow orchestration with Apache Airflow and developing transformations using dbt.
