Role Overview

As a Senior Application Security Cybersecurity Consultant at New Zealand's largest cybersecurity and connectivity services company, you will join a dedicated team focused on delivering top-tier advice and solutions to customers. The role demands a culture of problem solvers who proactively embrace challenges. You will be responsible for the performance, productivity, growth, and sustainability of team members, overseeing cybersecurity services with a strong emphasis on Application Security.

Key Responsibilities

• Advocate innovation and enhance service and delivery to ensure future sustainability.
• Collaborate internally and with customers to achieve shared objectives.
• Maintain and cultivate vendor partnerships that support cybersecurity technical services across consulting and operational functions.
• Drive planning, development, and execution of Datacom's Application Security services and offerings.
• Stay passionate and knowledgeable about application cybersecurity, emerging technologies, business transformation, and customer problem-solving.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and the ability to engage a diverse customer base effectively.
• Proven team leadership capabilities, including experience in managing or mentoring professionals.
• Experience working in service- and outcome-driven organizations.
• Professional qualifications with a technical focus within cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps and best practices in application security such as OWASP standards.
• Strong passion for application security, potentially with backgrounds such as penetration testing, development, or security consulting.
• Preferably, a minimum of 7 years in cybersecurity, including at least 5 years specializing in application security.
• Additional credentials such as relevant certifications or conference presentations are advantageous.
