Role Overview

As an Endpoint Engineering Architect, you will be pivotal in designing and maintaining robust Standard Operating Environments (SOE) for desktops. This role involves enabling remote support and enforcing standardisation across varied IT ecosystems. You will collaborate closely with customers to facilitate their digital transformation through cloud-first productivity and collaborative solutions, providing expert guidance and developing sustainable processes to enhance and continually improve customer environments.

Location and Work Environment

Our offices are located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney. While we encourage in-person collaboration, flexibility to work from home is supported to balance professional and personal life, trusting each team to determine the best arrangements.

Security Requirement

Candidates must be Australian citizens and capable of obtaining Australian Government baseline security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an escalation point and provide mentoring and coaching to engineering teams.
• Utilise deep expertise in Enterprise endpoint management tools such as SCCM, Intune, and JAMF.
• Manage Microsoft Windows operating system deployment and configuration in both traditional and modern management frameworks.
• Work with core Microsoft infrastructure services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, PKI, Print and File Services, Exchange, and SharePoint.
• Implement and maintain AvePoint baselines.
• Ensure endpoint security through technologies like Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Symantec, and CrowdStrike.
• Design and support VDI and DaaS solutions, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Amazon Workspaces, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Windows 365.
• Maintain a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Utilise supplementary Microsoft and competitor solutions such as Patch My PC, Aternity, Ivanti App Control, and Airlock Digital.
• Possess knowledge of public cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, as well as traditional on-premises hosting including vCenter and Hyper-V, supporting hybrid cloud environments.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of eight years’ experience in IT with proven background as an Endpoint Architect.
• Passionate, proactive, and highly customer-focused with strong service orientation.
• Able to work independently managing multiple priorities and collaboratively within teams.
• Experienced with hardware and software vendor support processes and product life cycles.
• Advanced expertise in end-user management and SOE management methodologies (modern and traditional).
• Financial management acumen to adhere to budgets and schedules.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, consultative, and planning skills.
